What We Collect
Vesper requests your approximate location to deliver weather forecasts and sunset predictions for your area. Location data is used only at the time of the request and is not stored on our servers.
We collect anonymous usage analytics to understand how people use the app. These analytics contain no personal identifiers and cannot be linked back to individual users.
What Stays on Your Device
Photos taken through Sunset Verify are saved directly to your device’s Photos library. They are never uploaded to Vesper servers. Journal entries, sunset ratings, and personal verification history are stored locally on your device.
SunsetWx Integration
Vesper uses prediction data from SunsetWx to generate sunset quality scores. When you open the app, we send your approximate location coordinates to retrieve the forecast. No personal information is shared with SunsetWx.
Third-Party Services
Vesper uses third-party weather data providers to generate forecasts. These providers receive only anonymous location coordinates required to return weather data. We do not share email addresses, device identifiers, or any other personal data with third parties.
Your Rights
You can delete all locally stored app data at any time by uninstalling Vesper. If you joined the waitlist and want your email address removed, contact us and we will delete it within 48 hours.
